I purchased 1 box and it came a little dinged up, but nothing serious. I suppose that’s the cost of transit. Rigorously, I went over the shrink wrap, the box and each pack to make sure they were not opened and resealed. Everything checked out, from what I could tell. It shipped super quickly. I was happy with my initial purchase, so I acquired a second.
Set Boosters have been enjoyable to open and were a nice vacation from draft boosters.

I bought this for my daughter’s boyfriend for a birthday gift. He ended up with several valuable cards from the box.

I was concerned that the box wouldn’t be packaged well and some of the packs would get bent. I can say that the box came in perfect condition. Amazon packaged the booster box well and made sure it was secured well. Came with the original shrink wrap on the box which was another comforting sight.

To start with: there is a gamble with every sealed booster product, and luck is a major factor. This is coming from someone who’s bought a draft booster box with only 2 mythics and less value than a half-price repacked booster box that all the chase cards had been removed from. And whose last set booster box had only 29 packs inside!
So, I’ll instead focus on the results VS the promise:
In 30 set booster packs, I received 5 regular mythic rares, 1 foil showcase rare, 3 showcase rares, 1 borderless rare, 1 foil rare, and 25 regular rares. Additionally, I got 2 mythic rares and 3 regular rares from the Commander set. I also received 3 foil and 10 non-foil Ukyo-E lands, and 6 The List cards (1 rare, 2 uncommon, 3 common).
That’s an impressive 7 mythics and 34 rares, which is above expectations for mythics, is about expected on rares, and compares favorably to the expected 5 mythics and 32 rares from a draft booster box. I got about the expected average for Ukiyo-e lands (13 of 13-14), yet was slightly below rate for The List (6 vs 7 expected).
On the down side: sorting issues do remain, with certain colors underrepresented at all rarities, and tendencies for twice as many copies of commons and uncommons in favored colors compared to the underrepresented ones.
Still, in terms of value, the cards I got were well above the current going price for a set booster box even without counting my commons and uncommons, and I got more than my share of fun from opening packs – made even better by having a friend to show things to. At least for me, and with this particular box, it was well worth it.

… i should just buy singles, but honestly, i love this whole set, so i bought a box. I can’t say i got my full investment back in cards, but i got a lot of great stuff. I will probably buy 1-2 more in addition to buying singles.

Got the product very quickly and while the box had some minor damage(from transport) all the packs are in good condition and sealed. Box came sealed correctly and all. Awesome purchase!

Set boosters are a ton of fun if you enjoy cracking booster packs. Obviously you should buy singles if you care about value, but there are some very cool cards you can open here. And they are undeniably a ton of fun to open and to find out what you get. The foil Japanese lands are gorgeous, the ninja/samurai frames are really cool, and there are some genuinely good/fun cards that can be opened in this set even at rare. Plus, you get a foil in every pack, which is awesome.
The funny thing was, my box seemed to be mis-printed or mis-collated. In EVERY pack, there was a Kamigawa Commander rare/mythic before the normal rare/mythic slot. In some packs, you can get this, however it appears that my box got all of them. This means I got 2 – 6 copies of each one. This helped with the value of the box thanks to getting a couple Go-Shintai of Life’s Origin. Don’t expect this in every box, I haven’t seen a single other box that had this behavior. It is another example of WOTC’s rampant printing/sorting errors, it was just nice that this time it was in my favor.
