Like all packs it’s a gamble but the art and foils in these are amazing. If you like foils and alt art these are the packs for you.

In the US there is are a lot of incidences where people will get boxes of cards in the mail where all of the packs have been opened and the best cards have been taken out and replaced with lesser value cards. These sorts of theft are called “repacks.”
This one showed up just fine and didn’t appear to have been tampered with. It’s still expensive though. That’s why I docked it a star.

I bought these to open on a live stream and thankfully no damage as other reviews have reported. No opened packs and I even pulled a borderless-foil Old Gnawbone, one of the rarest cards in the set. Even was required to have someone be present to receive the package. I’m completely satisfied with my experience.
Probably going to order another box soon and will update my review accordingly if there is any damage or opened packs.

As a long time MTG and D&D fan, it’s been amusing finally seeing these D&D staples translated into the MTG world. I’m very much a casual when it comes to Magic, so I can’t speak to how well these new Forgotten Realm cards will influence tournament play for 2022, but for a nostalgia hit, these are pretty awesome. Not to mention seeing all of the new art for some of your favorite D&D characters and monsters.
Just the stats, I pre-ordered both a draft booster box and a collector’s box, they were dropped on my doorstep on release day. I bought mine directly from Amazon. All boxes and packs were sealed, no signs of anyone opening them before me.
The Collector’s box filled in some of the spots that my draft booster box left empty, plus gave me some of the alternate art cards. I know there’s a lot of divisiveness about the land art, but I’m a fan, mostly because it does hit that nostalgia button pretty hard.

Was gonna keep and resell later but it came a little banged up and w/ a minor hole in the wrapping so i decided to open it instead. So glad i did. Ended up getting extremely lucky and had some great pulls so im happy

Since I love both magic and d&d, this was perfect!

A fun collector booster box opening at a reasonable price. While he didn’t manage to get any of the big hits, my son enjoyed the experience & excitement of opening a sealed, unsearched MTG booster box.

This set is totally worth it and supremely awesome, but if you’re looking to get double diversity, don’t buy more than 1. I saw a review that claimed to get almost exactly the same cards as the other Collector Box, but no one else was saying this. So I bought a second one. Mistake. He was right. Almost exactly the same cards in both Collector boxes. And I’m talking like more than 90% the same cards. Probably much higher percentage, truthfully. Awesome cards, no doubt, but not what I was aiming for. I’d rather have 1 of every card at this point due to the personal value of D&D + Magic, as a collector item. Not for money, just sheer personal value. Buying multiple copies of all these special sets (Gift edition box, Collector box, bundle box) has lead to nothing but duplicates of a limited portion of the AFR set. If that’s what you want, go for it! Now you know.

I have been playing D&D for a long time, since the early 80’s. I didn’t see magic in its earliest days, but I did get into it when they came out with an Unlimited set. I always thought a cross over with D&D was obvious but years went by and magic kept making up new things and D&D made a few new editions. When wizards bought TSR I thought a D&D set was a given. I guess that is what I get for thinking. So much time passed and the two kept separate. Then, of all things, they made adventures for D&D that used the many races in Magic and the settings for the worlds in the cards. Always being a my own world kind of guy I didn’t have any interest in playing with planeswalkers. I shook my head at the obvious money they were missing (IMO).
Now though, they finally made some cards with some Forgotten Realms characters on them. Now I am old enough not to have a large group of fiends like I did ten or fifteen years ago. The cards are awesome and I love some of the looks on them, even though there are a handful of versions of them, most good some great. I am a set collector of magic and have folders full of them. I guess the only bonus of these at this time is I have a good bit more expendable money so good for WoTC but bummer for not having any friends to play with.
Great set, I will get a lot more of them and hope that I can meet back up with friends sometime soon in retirement.
