    Great Pokémon set.
Energy cards, dice, & card sleeves are a nice bonus.
However the card sleeves are poor quality and hard to shuffle. (I use them for rare and foil cards I pull)
Shipping was on time and in perfect condition.

I’m writing this to reassure those thinking of purchasing that the packs do not appear to have been touched and that with some luck you will pull GX and better cards from them. My kids are slowly opening packs during the advent season and have opened four so far. They’ve pulled two Raichu GX and one Zoroark GX out of four. I talked with them about pull rates and chances of not getting good cards, so was bemused when they opened their first two packs and both got a GX (so thankful that it wasn’t just one getting a GX that morning). Even so, kids being kids, my daughter was upset that my son pulled the Dark GX and she pulled the electric type GX so I had them trade. Later I educated them on card prices and she was once again not thrilled that Zoroark, at the time of writing this, is only valued at 2 dollars and Raichu is valued at 4.

So good luck to all of you. Reported pull rates for GX in SHining Legends are 1:8, with 1:15 for Shining and about 1:32 for secret. I will update this with each of the rarer card if we get more, though they are only opening 6 prior to Christmas and we may keep the other four back as future gifts or gifts for their friends.

Shinning Legends is a great set to collect. In the elite trainer box you get 10 booster packs! I have order 4 boxes now and have averaged 3 gx, rainbow, or ultra rare cards per box. The only downside is it is such a small set you will get lots of duplicates. As result I have started ordering the remaining rare cards individually. Overall a great way to start your set.

I’ve been a Pokemon enthusiast since the video games came out in the late 1990s. But I stopped collecting cards and playing the video games for many, MANY years until I came back to Pokemon last year. Now I’m obsessed with Pokemon again! You’ll get something different in each Shining Legends box, of course, but each pack that you open will have something exciting, like legendary/mythic Pokemon holographic cards, Shining cards, or GX cards. From this box, you’re already guaranteed one beautiful Shining Ho-Oh! From my ten packs, I pulled the following holographic cards: Zekrom, Spiritomb, Keldeo, Stunfisk (two of them), Raikou (two of them), Shaymin, Palkia, Virizion, Marshadow (two of them), Latios, Switch (Trainer), Damage Mover (trainer), and Manaphy. I just mentioned some legendary and mythical Pokemon from that list! (I think there were a couple more holographic cards I didn’t mention from my box.) Oh and before I forget, the most powerful cards, the GX cards, that I got from my packs were Zoroark GX and Mewtwo GX, which are very valuable and competitive cards in the game! The whole box has pretty much everything you need to play the card game as well. The card sleeves are nice for taking care of the cards. I’d say for the price this was well worth the purchase!

    Great box with awesome cards

I used to collect pokemon cards as a kid way back in the days of the base and 1st edition sets and then I stopped collecting. Recently I learned to play the game and started looking into expanding my collection as I definitely don’t want to have my base set cards ever be played with. I watched tons of youtube and unboxing videos which led me to my first purchase of this elite trainer box. I picked this one because I knew there a lot of holo cards as they are guaranteed to be at least holo rare in every pack.

I did read lots of 5 atar reviews from back in 2017 and everyone seemed to have decent luck with their pulls. Most reviews recently have been 1 star because I guess when you buy an older set online there is a high chance someone bought the box weighed the cards booster packs, took all the ultra rares, replaced them with packs that had no ultra rares, and returned the box to steal all the ultras and hyper rares out of the package.

I figured I would take the chance since the worst I could get is holo rares with each pack. Fortunately, upon opening I did see my promo card (others reported this stolen) and everything seemed ok with the package. I examined the boosters (images attached) and they might have be opened and resealed but I figured well here goes nothing. My luck was standard I think. I only pulled one gx which is on the lower end of booster pack luck but I did pull a shining legendary card (other than the ho-oh promo) so that was nice. This was another reason I chanced this box set because I knew some of the nicer cards were not only the gx and hyper rares but the shining pokemon. Luckily two of my reverses were also rare as well. Overall I am satisfied but it would have been nice for more gx cards. As I did grow up with the original 151 and then the next 100 I was happy to get ho-oh as a promo.

Always use caution when online. Watch some scamming videos to avoid being scammed before you open the box and can’t return it. That being said I would reccomend this box to anyone who is not too concerned for getting the rarest card in the set. Back when I started holo rare was the cool thing so I was happy with all my pulls even though they were guaranteed to be at least holo rare :). I got several playable card and full evolutions to play with.

Excellent pulls. Got all versions of Entei’s card from this set. Shining Legends is just an excellent set in general. If you love foils, legendaries, and more foils then this is the set to get. Plus, it’s a small set so while you’ll get dupes, you will get a solid pull guaranteed. Definitely got many times the value of this box over from the good pulls. Plus, cracking this with friends was an added bonus. Definitely everybody had a favorite legendary we got during cracking the packs. Definitely going to buy this box again and hopefully get Mewtwo, either way can sell cards to make back money.

You get a lot in this little box, and it was actually cheaper to buy on Amazon than in the stores for me. I really like the tokens you get with it since they’re a nice solid feeling metal and not just cardboard. You also get a little booklet with a checklist of all the cards in the set, and the exclusive Shining Ho-oh card is beautiful. The Shining Legends packs themselves are great as every rare in the set is a holographic. And since it’s a limited set that you can’t just buy single booster packs for, it isn’t a huge set, making it a little easier to finish. I’ve bought four of these boxes and it seems that you generally get at least three of the ultra rare or better cards out of each box. The box also doesn’t have a guarantee of not getting duplicates of the rarer cards, but I haven’t had a problem with getting more than two duplicate rares per box, and I’ve never gotten duplicates of a higher rarity card from the same box.

One of my favorite ETB’s on the market. Box design is good, sleeves are incredible.
Promo card as expected, looks fantastic
Pulls are mixed. A few duplicates, but of holo rares. Shining Legends does have one of the best pull rates out there.
Delivery said 3-4 weeks. Arrived within 2, from the US, during the Covid outbreak.
Seller was a pleasure to deal with
